Toronto Catholic District School Board

 Resources for Canada150

On July 1, 2017, Canadians will come together to celebrate our nation’s 150th birthday. Throughout the year, Canada will celebrate the 150th anniversary of Confederation. In addition, the Province of Ontario is also celebrating its 150th anniversary during 2017. Across the country, organizations and communities have started planning how to celebrate this major national milestone.

The Toronto Catholic District School Board takes great pride in the fact that Catholic schools have been a vibrant part of Canada's history even before confederation, and this sesquicentennial year provides a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase the story of Catholic education throughout history and to look forward at the countless possibilities that lie before us in the future.

TCDSB staff and students are invited to take part in the celebration by participating in or hosting activities and events to commemorate 150 years of Canada. Check out the resources below for ways to get involved.
