National Sweater Day

National Sweater Day is a fun way to learn about the importance of saving energy and to inspire you to use less heat all winter. Register your school online here no later than January 24, 2020 and Facilities Services will turn down the heat in your school by two (2) degrees to support your efforts. Please note this may need to be arranged at a local level with the school Custodian.

Did you know that your electronic devices, when plugged in, continue to draw power even when they are off? It is called "phantom" or "standby" power, and it could account for up to 10 per cent of energy use. You can fight the phantoms and control costs with simple steps. Visit Toronto Hydro’s website to find the top places to cut energy leaks:
