2019-2020 Budget

We want to hear from you!

 
The Toronto Catholic District School Board has an annual budget of approximately $1.1 billion that is used to educate some 92,000 students in close to 200 schools, while employing over 14,000 full and part-time employees.
 
We are committed to providing the best Catholic education for all our students, and doing so in a fiscally responsible manner. We encourage all members of our Catholic school communities to participate in the discussion to inform our Board’s budget setting priorities for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year.
 
In an effort to ensure that all Catholic stakeholders have a chance to provide input, we ask you to take note of the following opportunities:
 

Everyone is encouraged to complete the online Budget Survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KHNQYZP.  (Survey responses are anonymous unless participants choose to self-identify.)

*Please be advised that this survey has been modified as of April 5 at 12:30 pm. These modifications were approved by the TCDSB Board of Trustees at the April 4th meeting of the Student Achievement Committee.

 

Completed paper surveys can be sent via Board courier or mail to:

All are also welcome to participate in any of the following public  meetings to learn more about the budget and to provide input:

o   Corporate Services Committee (April 11, 2019)

o   Regular Board (April 24, 2019)

o   Corporate Services Committee (May 9, 2019)

o Student Achievement & Well Being Committee (May 2)

o   Special Education Advisory Committee (May 15, 2019)

o   Regular Board (May 16, 2019)

Catholic School Parent Councils will have a further opportunity to provide input as a collective group at a local school meeting. Watch for more details from your TCDSB school.
Additional targeted stakeholder meetings will take place involving TCDSB’s unions and employee associations, OAPCE, CPIC and CSLIT among others.
 
 

Public Meeting and Virtual Town Hall

 
A public consultation meeting/Virtual Town Hall is also scheduled for Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 6:30-8:30PM at the Catholic Education Centre, 80 Sheppard Avenue East (Sheppard and Yonge), Boardroom, 2nd Floor. For those who want to participate but are unable to attend, you are welcome to tune in to a live webcast of the proceedings and to email in your questions in advance of the meeting, or during the meeting. Check back here for further details closer to the date.

 

The deadline for providing input is May 10 2019
