Skate to Great and Chevrolet Canada Donate Helmets
Skate To Great and Chevrolet Canada have donated 7 skids of skating helmets that will be distributed to schools throughout the TCDSB.
In meeting with several school principals in Areas 3 and 4 the need for skates and helmets was brought to the attention of the Community Relations Department during the 2015-2016 school year. David Letra, Community Relations Officer, connected with Laurel Etkin (General Manager of Skate To Great) and she was instrumental in donating hundreds of pairs of skates that were distributed to both elementary and secondary schools throughout the TCDSB during last year’s school calendar.
As a follow-up, the Community Relations Department reconnected with Ms. Etkin for the 2016-2017 school year and received two hundred pairs of additional skates that were distributed to: St. Robert CS, St. Marcellus CS, St. Wilfrid CS, St. Francis Xavier CS, St. Augustine CS, Our Lady of Guadalupe CS, St. Antoine Daniel CS, St. Jerome CS, St. Kateri Tekakwitha CS, St. Cosmas and Damien CS and Madonna CSS.
