International Day for the Eradication of Poverty

October 17th is the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) is dedicated to ensuring that all students, staff and families feel a sense of belonging to their school communities and to work to eliminate any barriers that may exist that would enable each individual to feel affirmed.

It is appropriate to acknowledge the day to eradicate poverty as the lack of resources can become a barrier to student achievement and well-being.

Acts of charity are driven by the desire to help those in need--those who are less fortunate, who have less than we do, who need support, kindness, acceptance and love.
