New Legislation Aims to Prevent On-Line Cyberbullying and Exploitation

On March 9, 2015, new legislation has come into effect to protect all ages of Canadians from on-line cyberbullying and exploitation on the internet. Named the “Protecting Canadians from Online Crime Act”, the new law stands up for victims band helps law enforcement officials better protect our students.

A website has been created by the Canadian Centre for Child Protection to help youth who are being exploited by providing guidance in how to deal with online blackmail. We encourage you to share this site with your students:  www.needhelpnow.ca
