Science

It is important for students to make connections between the science topics covered in the classroom and the world. The department encourages students to see the relevance of biology, chemistry and physics to issues in the environment and society. Students are given the opportunity to develop skills and ideas that will lead to post-secondary programs and future occupations by:

Interacting with Prime Minister Award winning teachers
Utilizing two new state-of-the-art Science labs
Participating in Science Olympics and contests
Attending mentorship programs and other academic pursuits
Integrating technology and creative learning strategies in our classes
Challenging young women to enter non-traditional fields of study
