Family of Schools - Youth Ministry Program
St. Norbert’s and St. Robert’s Catholic Elementary School and Madonna Catholic Secondary School began their joint vision for celebrating the year of the parish with Father Gigi and the St. Norbert’s parish community. Our series of events began on Saturday, December 10th, after mass, to celebrate our family of schools through youth ministry. Grade 7 and 8 students from St. Robert’s and St. Norbert’s participated with Madonna high school students in a variety of team building activities, faith-based games, and learning about the Advent season. It was fun-filled evening for all adults and students who participated.
Firstly, we would like to thank Father Gigi and St. Norbert Parish community for welcoming and supporting this initiative for our young people. Father Gigi is a compassionate and understanding leader who never fails to make time for his school communities.
A special thank you to Mastros Restaurant that very generously donated a hot meal for our students. Their generosity is very much appreciated and will long be remembered. A great big thank you to our schools’ parent councils who are also graciously supporting our joint parish project.
Finally, a very special acknowledgment to the youth from our three schools who joined us on Saturday evening. These young people serve as witness to their faith, and as active members in their school and parishes. They deserve to be celebrated for their dedication to their communities of faith.
Our family of schools are looking forward to future initiatives in the New Year to celebrate our parish and its very important role in our faith formation.
