Kings at Western

On May 24-25th a groups of leaders visited King's at Western University to partake in the annual Carpe Diem Catholic Leadership conference.   The objective of the conference was to offer students who have demonstrated leadership skills the opportunity to develop and strengthen Catholic Student Leadership in our schools and communities through interaction with other student leaders as well as inspirational and informative workshops.

The overarching theme of the conference was “Carpe Diem” which reflects our desire to encourage students to “seize” every opportunity to further develop their leadership skills and to try each and every day to be mindful of their faith and gifts.  The theme for this year’s conference was "Who is your neighbor?" which allowed students the opportunity to explore the idea of being a good and responsible neighbour, ideas to support neighbourhoods, societal social justice issues, and building compassion for one another.
