Madonna Wins Robotics Tournament

On Saturday March 25, Madonna’s robotics team competed in the Falcon Knight’s Robotics Challenge at Francis Libermann. Madonna designed and constructed both autonomous and radio controlled robots which were tested against robots from four other schools. The tasks involved acquiring mini- footballs are either dropping them behind a goal line or shooting them at a specified target. Madonna’s robots named Corn, Fudge, Stuffing and Turkey were up to the task as they dropped, launched and maneuvered their footballs into scoring position. Madonna advances to the Skills Canada Provincial Robotics competition and is the first all-girls school to represent the Board at this event.
