Notes on Translation The electronic translation service on the Toronto Catholic District School Board's website is hosted by Google Translate. The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 50 languages, although an impressive number, this does not capture all languages or dialects. The basic translation's goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material. The Toronto Catholic District School Board does not guarantee the quality, accuracy or completeness of any translated information. Before you act on translated information, the Board encourages you to confirm any facts that are important to you and affect any decisions you may make. The Toronto Catholic District School Board is committed to parent, family and community engagement, and it is our hope that by providing this tool on our website that we are making our information more accessible to families whose first language is not English and thereby enabling better engagement in public education.

Update on School Bus Delays

September 13th, 2017
Dear Parents/Guardians
We wanted to provide an update on the status of your child’s school bus. Today, we were informed by Sharp Bus Lines that you may experience longer than anticipated delays on both the morning and afternoon routes. Currently, Sharp Bus Lines is seeing a higher number of drivers leaving the company and/or taking sick days than they have trained replacement drivers. This means that the company’s available drivers are filling in and completing the routes for the absent drivers, which has resulted in delays of up to approximately one hour. Your child’s bus route is one of five routes that could be impacted by the delay.
We understand that this news may be frustrating and we are working with Sharp Bus Lines to resolve this isolated issue as quickly as possible.
While we have been assured by Sharp Bus Lines that all bus routes will continue to operate, in the interim due to the possibility of delays, you may wish to arrange alternate transportation for your child at this time. Please be assured that students who continue to use the school bus will be supervised in the afternoons until the school bus arrives.
