Academics

Bishop Allen offers Academic and Applied courses, as well as the French Immersion and Extended programs. Courses are semestered; students study 4 courses for the first half of the school year, followed by another 4 courses the second half of the school year.

Enriched courses are introduced in Grade 10 in Mathematics, English and Science. The Advanced Placement (AP) Program, in Grades 11 and 12, allows students to earn university credits while still in high school, by preparing for and writing exams. Bishop Allen boasts the largest Gifted Program in the T.C.D.S.B. with more than 130 identified gifted students. Students in the Gifted Program are invited to nurture their gifts and share them with the school community and community at large.
