Toronto Catholic District School Board

Bishop Allen Academy recognizes two of their alumni who are priests with the Archdiocese of Toronto
On Monday, April 16th, Fr. Frank Portelli, graduating class of 1995 and Fr. Paul Magyar, graduating class of 2000, celebrated Easter Masses with the 1500 plus students of Bishop Allen Academy. Fr. Portelli is presently the Director of the Office of Catholic Youth and Fr. Magyar is an associate pastor at St. Barnabas Parish in Scarborough.
Bishop Allen Academy will celebrate its 25th anniversary in two years time and our students have many success stories in all walks of life and yet… having two graduate/priests is rare in our Catholic School Board. We are very proud of all of our students.
The Serra Club, which promotes vocations in the Archdiocese, presented our graduate/priests with portraits of themselves – which they in turn presented to a representative of our student government, Dylan Mascetta,…and which will be placed in the school chapel. Mr. P. Hearn, Pres., Mr. Joe Gennaro V.P., and Jim & Rita King represented the Serra Club and made the presentations at the end of each Eucharist.
