Dear Parent/Legal Guardian,

We would like to provide you with an update on the status of the proposed redevelopment at Bloor and Dundas by Choice Properties REIT.

As you may be aware, there was a Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) community meeting on May 22, 2018 with Choice Properties that showcased the potential design of the new school and part of the larger development. Since then, the Board continues to assert itself in the valuation process, keeping our local and Board priorities at the forefront. We are committed to continuing quality Catholic secondary education in this community both in the short and long term.
While redevelopment planning remains in its initial phases, please be assured that the TCDSB will continue to maintain regular communication with both the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) and Choice Properties REIT regarding Bishop Marrocco/Thomas Merton’s replacement school as part of the overall redevelopment plans at Bloor and Dundas.

As plans for redevelopment move forward, the school community will be informed and invited to participate in consultations regarding any impact on our school.

Please also be advised that there are no plans for relocation until the new school is completed.

We will continue to keep you informed of any updates, as they become available. As always, please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
Erica Wilson
Principal
