Dear Parent/Guardian:                                                                     
 
On the morning of April 10, 2018, all Grade 10 students across the province will write the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT). The successful completion of the OSSLT is a requirement for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma.  
 
The Toronto Catholic District School Board has approved a modified schedule for all secondary schools to facilitate the administration of the test on this day. All staff will be supervising and assisting in the administration of the test on April 10. Please make note of the following schedule:
 
8:25 a.m.                          Grade 10 students in class for opening exercises
8:30 a.m. – 10 a.m.           Literacy Test, Booklet One
10 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.         Break
10:15 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.    Literacy Test, Booklet Two
 
Grade 10 students require permission to be dismissed from school at the end of the test.
 
Regular full-day schedule for Grade 9 students.
 
Grade 11 and 12 students on independent study for the day. Period 3 and 4 teachers will be available for consultation.
