One Community 2018
On the 6th and 7th of March, Newman celebrated its diversity of cultures, language and food through the two day events of One Community Dance and One Community Food. On Tuesday 6th March, two assemblies were held for One Community Dance and we were honoured to have our trustee, Ms. Nancy Crawford, attend this event.
The opening activity, O Canada played on the steel drums, brought everyone to their feet and soon the voices of the students enthusiastically joined in one of the best renditions of the National Anthem ever! The assemblies' dances and singing were well received by all who attended and both assemblies were outstanding. Thanks to all of the performers, the teachers and parents who supported and trained them over the weeks before the performances.
The photos below give you a glimpse of some of the activities during One Community Dance - this celebration truly exemplifies what makes Blessed Cardinal Newman a great place to live and learn!
