Music! Not Mischief @ BCN
Music! Not Mischief
is a Toronto Police-led youth outreach program partnering police
officers with high school students. Officers mentor students as they
learn to play the guitar in preparation for an end of season concert
where students play on stage with a real rock band. Now in its fifth
year, MUSIC! Not Mischief has expanded to 16 schools in four police
jurisdictions. This year, the program will be delivered in 13 schools in
Toronto (including Blessed Cardinal Newman), as well as one in Oshawa,
Hamilton and Niagara Falls by their respective regional police services.

The
Toronto Police Services, through the involvement of the School Resource
Officer (PC Tasse @ Blessed Cardinal Newman), works with youth to share
a supportive message about pursuing positive and creative ventures,
such as music and academic excellence.
The Music! Not Mischief program runs at Newman every Tuesday during both lunches in the Auditorium.
