Toronto Catholic District School Board

Catholic Education Centre Teacher of the Year 2014
Congratulations to Tony Volpe, Behaviour ISP Teacher at Blessed Trinity Catholic School, who has been chosen by Chapter 56 of the Council for Exceptional Children to receive the 2014 CEC Teacher of the Year Award. This award recognizes teachers who have made outstanding contributions to the education of students with special needs.
On April 30th, Mr. Volpe received the Teacher of the Year Award from the Council for Exceptional Children Toronto Chapter 56. Mr. Volpe began his teaching career 18 years ago with TCDSB. For all those years he has been the teacher of the Primary/Junior Behaviour Intensive Support Program at Blessed Trinity. Mr. Volpe is as energetic and dedicated today as he was the first day of teaching that program. Mr. Volpe has demonstrated consistent professionalism throughout his career working with some of the most challenging students from grades one to six. It was with great honour that the Council for Exceptional Children awarded Mr. Volpe with the Teacher of the Year Award for 2014. We are so proud of Mr. Volpe’s accomplishment. Please join the school in congratulating him on this very well deserved award.
