I am very
excited and honoured to be the principal at Brebeuf College School. I have been so blessed and fortunate to have
been warmly welcomed into the Brebeuf community by students, staff, and
parents. In the short time that I have
been here, I have already seen the kindness, respect, enthusiasm, and great
sense of pride in our students, along with the hard work and dedication of the
staff, and the unconditional support of parents.
Our school
is a true community of faith, grounded in gospel values and social
justice. As a staff, we adhere to the
TCDSB Catholic Graduate Expectations, and encourage our students to live their
lives with compassion, empathy, and integrity.
We pride ourselves on an inclusive environment, welcoming all students
to our diverse community. Our chaplaincy
and religion departments offer several retreats for students to take part, in
addition to an annual pilgrimage to Rome.
In addition, a daily communion service is held in our chapel, First
Friday and school-wide masses are celebrated regularly, the rosary is said with
all of our students, and the sacrament of Reconciliation is offered at Advent.
Our academic
standards and expectations are very high.
We continually encourage our students to strive for greater goals, and
to persist and work hard to achieve these goals.
At Brebeuf,
we offer three Specialist High Skills Majors in the following areas: Arts and
Culture; Information and Communication Technology; and Health and Wellness. We
also offer an Extended French program and AP prep courses.
Student life
would not be complete without co-curricular activities. At Brebeuf, we proudly offer a multitude of
athletic activities for our students, with a dedicated staff volunteering their
time to coach. As well, the school
offers a number of clubs and committees, focusing on a variety of topics such
as leadership development, the arts, debating, and other past-times.
Our facility
provides a beautiful environment for learning.
In addition to our traditional classrooms, we have numerous computer and
tech labs, a library/learning commons, a theatre, a gym, and a chapel.
I look
forward to meeting you – students, parents, alumni, and members of the community.
God bless you all.
