Building Empathy from the Ground Up
Cardinal Carter Academy students are participating in a daily physical challenge called Project 22. Students will collectively do 22 pushups for 22 days. They will be challenging others in their school and greater community to be a part of the Project 22 experience. The project builds on empathy ~ finding their resolve, unearthing and tapping into their empathy as they deal with the physical discomforts and (negative) doubts about themselves. The pushup ... traditional or modified is the active symbol in our quest to being more tuned in and vulnerable to the needs of others.
