May 23rd from 7pm-9:30pm
Metro Hall, Toronto
This year's Orwell Art Gallery will feature works from 8 Toronto Catholic District School Board classes in 3 different high schools across the city.
Michael Power/St. Joseph, Marshall McLuhan and Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts Catholic Secondary School teachers and students have engaged in this unique learning opportunity which involved learning about urgent human rights issues, democracy and active global citizenship.

Through it all, they learned that every voice matters.
Themes reflected in the student public art monuments will include: The fragility of democracy and the role of active citizenship in safeguarding it in Canada and around the world; Holodomor, the Ukrainian famine genocide; Global Citizenship; Geo Politics; The use of social media and technology as tools for democratic engagement.
