Learning Commons

Cardinal Carter's Learning Commons (LC) is located just south of the elevators on the main floor of the Catholic Education Centre (CEC).

The LC is open to all students and staff to conduct research, to meet as groups, to work independently, to find a new book to read, to photocopy, and to print.

 

Hours of Operation

8:00 to 8:25 and Periods 2 & 3 Monday to Friday. 

                    

Collection

The LC has numerous fiction and non-fiction texts, DVDs, and electronic equipment that students and staff can sign-out for various periods of time.  To access our collection, click here.
 
Research
Students and staff have access to many resources for conducting research. Depending on the topic of investigation, different strategies need to be used. The following document, Research Strategies, is a helpful guide.
 
 
Subscriptions

The LC receives The Toronto Star daily.  Additionally, the LC subscribes to various magazines, such as Macleans, Entertainment Weekly, National Geographic, Canadian Art, , and Sojournors.
