Toronto Catholic District School Board

Principal's Message

Our school is named after Paul-Émile Cardinal Léger.  He lived from 1904 to 1991.  His words that he lived by were once said by him: “Giving does not impoverish anyone.  Isn’t sharing the best way to make the world a better Place?”

Cardinal Léger was always caring and generous, especially to the poor and suffering.
Cardinal Léger’s words and the way he lived his life resonate throughout this school named in his honour.

Our understanding and philosophy of education is inseparable from our understanding of the very nature of our school system based on our Catholic beliefs and traditions.  Thus, we infuse ourselves with the Gospel message and spirit.  This Christ centered philosophy permeates through all of our interactions with students and parents as we grow and serve others.
Cardinal Léger Catholic School is built upon creating a positive and safe school culture.  Driven by Gospel values, staff continue to advocate and work toward maintaining a healthy and engaging atmosphere that promotes mutual respect and concern for the welfare of others.

Regardless of a student’s learning style Cardinal Léger Catholic School integrates students as much as possible.  We value differentiated teaching strategies to assist student with a variety of challenges.

I am blessed to have been given the opportunity to serve in the Cardinal Léger community.
