Social Media Workshops for Elementary Schools

The Chaminade College School Leadership Class has once again partnered with Louise Russo, who is founder of the Working Against Violence Everyday (W.A.V.E) Organization which centers around the principles of Respect, Responsibility and the Role of Leadership.  The team consists of 26 Leadership Students, Police Constable Nicole Jamieson of 12 Division, Margaret Dovigo and Laurie Brassard, our Youth Workers and Nadia Pasquini, our Leadership Teacher.  The goal of our team is to work with elementary schools within our community to continue the education around the use of social media and cyber-bullying awareness and prevention strategies. 
Chaminade has invited grade 8 students from neighbouring schools to take part in this 50 minute workshop entitled, #DELETE which will focus on Cyber Etiquette and Responsible Use of Social Media.  St. Conrad, St. Francis Xavier, Immaculate Conception, St. Simon, St. John the Evanglist, St. Raphael, Regina Mundi and St. Robert have been invited to consider participating. The students will require the use of laptops and/or cell phone in order to participate in the interactive on-line activities ( and  The team is available to come to the school and facilitate this workshop on the following days between 12:45 p.m. and 2:00 p.m January 8th, 9th, 12th, 13th, 15th and 16th.
