Ontario Comprehension Assessment (O.C.A.)

The Ontario Comprehension Assessment (O.C.A.) is an assessment that provides teachers with a descriptive snapshot of students’ reading comprehension of informational text. This assessment helps teachers to plan for comprehension instruction that is tailored to meet students’ needs. The OCA is administered twice a year to Grade 7, 8 and 9 students throughout the Toronto Catholic District School Board.
This year, the 2nd administration of the OCA at Dante Alighieri Academy will take place for Grade 9 students on the following days during period 1.
Tuesday, February 8, 2011 (Group 1)
Wednesday, February 9, 2011 (Group 2)
Thursday, February 10, 2011 (Group 3)
The Ontario Comprehension Assessments will be marked by a cross-curricular team of teachers and will be taken up with students.
