Former Crusader Dillon Brooks Accepts Scholarship

It gives me great pleasure to announce that former Crusader Dillon Brooks has accepted a 4 year, fully paid scholarship to the University of Oregon.
Although Dillon was eligible to return for a final year of high school, he made the decision to take his talents to Eugene, Oregon to play for the Ducks.  He qualified academically for the scholarship and had an incredible summer where he led Team Canada in scoring at the FIBA qualifying tournament, and dominated both Nike's EYBL tournament & the adidas Nations tournament.  The only event he missed was the Nike Global Challenge, as he was taking his official visit to Oregon.

We should take great pride in not only Dillon's athletic prowess but more in his academic success.  He graduated with a 3.1 GPA and easily surpassed the academic requirements for an NCAA Division One scholarship.
Oregon's Head Coach, Dana Altman, & their immense staff, rolled out the red carpet for Dillon & his mom during their visit.  Coach Altman wants this to be "Dillon's team", and will do everything possible to help Dillon join Tyler Ennis & Sim Bhullar in the NBA.
The reality is that we could not develop such sought after student-athetes without the support of our Principal, Ugo Rossi, and the TCDSB.  For their support, I am extremely grateful & appreciative.
