It is with great pleasure that I address our community as principal of Holy Angels School.   As I reflect on our journey of Catholic Education and our vision, we indeed have much to be thankful for - being part of this special community, we embrace and celebrate Catholic education for our children and their future – what greater mission is there?
Holy Angels is truly a community school in which the triad, home, school and parish are witnessed on a daily basis.  I am truly grateful for the support from our Catholic Schools Parent Council (CSPC) who tirelessly work to support programs for all our students.  I wish to acknowledge them for all their efforts for the school’s including our greening efforts, appropriate dress policy, support of our academic programs ( Scientist in the Schools programs, Dance Programs, Learning Commons and Technology support), lunchtime programs, buses for school excursions and athletic events, support for sacramental preparation and celebrations.  Without their support, our students would not have been able to participate in programs that enhanced and enriched the curriculum.
Our teachers continue to work hard to maintain our high standard of academic excellence.   Their tireless efforts to continually challenge out students to develop high level thinking skills and take risks in their learning is evident in our consistent EQAO test scores. Our focus on technology is evident through our use of SMART Boards in all our classrooms.  I am truly proud of their efforts.
Our students continue to amaze me every day.  Their positive attitude and energy inspire me.  Through our development of many leadership opportunities:  student council, Me to We committee, Best Buddies Program, PALS program, Safety Patrol and lunchtime monitors and office helpers, our students are given the opportunities to develop their personal leadership skills in a caring and nurturing environment.
Finally, our Catholic School would not fully embrace the Gospel Values without the support from our Parish.  Father Peter and Father Mariusz have supported Holy Angels parents and students in their faith development through Masses, Sacramental preparation and celebrations.  We are truly blessed to live in a school community that is able to embrace and nurture this special relationship.
We truly thank God for the gift that is Holy Angels School.
