NOVA 1:  Dialogues and echo-acting routines 

HOMEWORK: Each child is encouraged to practice reading at home with parents or grandparents using any Ukrainian text available, to practice printing their first and last name and complete written work as assigned.
 
EVALUATION: In grade one evaluation is primarily based on teacher’s observation of the following: 
  • Frequency of participation in class, use of Ukrainian language, ability to follow instructions, progress in reading and word recognition, comprehension and retelling or paraphrasing in complete sentences.
