Spring Activities Heading 1.jpg

With spring comes a new range of activities for the children.  At the school we have students preparing for soccer and the track and field season. Please reinforce with your children that they are not to bring hard balls of any kind to the school.  In many instances children in the primary grades bring very hard plastic balls that bounce very high; these are not safe in the playground and should not be in the school.  Similarly, older students bring rubber and tennis balls for practicing their baseball skills.  As in the past, all baseball activities are limited to gym classes and West Deane Park, where I take them at lunch hour to practice.  Students will know on which day they can come to the park under supervision and can prepare for this.  Outside of these opportunities, baseball and softball practicing will not take place during recess periods.  In addition each class will be given basketball, soccer balls and utility balls that will be used during recess for games.  Please support our efforts at the school by reminding your children about these safety aspects.
