On Thursday, October 17th, the grade 3 students of JCS discovered Ontario's rich First Nation's heritage as they explored a 15th century reconstructed Iroquoian Village. Our students had the opportunity to engage in games, craft making, longhouse exploration and a hike to learn about what life was like in a longhouse village over 600 years ago. Activities included: Longhouse exploration, circle gathering and fire starting, native games, craft making, multimedia presentation, and a "Moccasin Walk" guided hike. It was a memorable trip that brought their learning to life!
