Project Reach

All of the schools in the Toronto Catholic District School Board were asked to participate in project REACH as part of the Pastoral Year of Charity.  Each school was to create imagery on a box that expresses how charity is alive in our community.  Project REACH represents the “good hands” of charity and our call to help others.  Josyf Cardinal Slipyj’s box depicts the many charitable organizations and drives that our community participated in, particularly the charitable work connected with the Ukrainian orphans.   The artistic committee that completed Project Reach for JCS consisted of the following grade 8 students:

Zoriana W., Cecilia M., Sofia B., Zoryana K., and Larysa D.

The “Project Reach” exhibit will be on display at this year’s Scotiabank Nuit Blanche starting on Saturday October 4th and continuing until dawn on Sunday October 5th at St. Michael’s College, University of Toronto, 81 St. Mary’s Street.
