Denim Days

The Life Skills Team has initiated a new fundraiser "Denim Days" to help raise funds for our ISP Programming.  As well, part of the proceeds will be donated to Special Olympics.  The students collect $2 per week from participating staff members.  The staff wear their Denim and proceeds support our students as well as Special Olympics.

Please feel free to contribute to our Denim Days by sending in a toonie and wearing Denim on Fridays.

Marshall Moose

The Life Skills class is proud to be those chosen to decorate, change and update our very own Marshall Moose.  Through our Visual Arts class, led by Ms. Taddio, the students work on designing Marshall Moose to match our various yearly themes.  Here is Marshall Moose at Christmas.

ISP Christmas Activities

McLuhan's Life Skills students worked diligently, like Santa's elves, to transform the classroom into a winter wonderland. The classroom was decorated with salt-dough and paper ornaments, which the students created during culinary and numeracy classes. These ornaments were given out as gifts to family, friends, and members of the school community. Students served hot chocolate and cookies while singing carols for the judges of McLuhan's annual classroom Christmas decorating contest. The judges were so overwhelmed by the Christmas spirit displayed by our students that we were awarded first prize, with a delicious breakfast.

ISP Christmas Party

Dante Alighieri hosted a festive Christmas party at their Beatrice Campus. Students participated in a snowman wrapping contest, sang and danced to Christmas music, and even got a surprise visit from Santa's helper.
