White Pine Reading Program
The White Pine reading program is part of the Forest of Reading, a provincial reading program that is sponsored by the Ontario Library Association.
It offers high-school-aged teens the opportunity to read the best of Canadian young adult fiction.
Students are invited to read 10 Canadian nominated young adult fiction titles and then vote for their favourite book.
The author, who receives the most votes, is honoured with the White Pine Award.
The winning author is presented with the award at the annual Festival of Trees, which will take place at Harbourfront in May 2015.
