We Stand In LA
This year for the first time McLuhan is offering a wonderful human rights program entitled ‘’We Stand’’. This trip is offered to all senior students and will be during the Easter weekend.
This program is to help students recognize the needs of all and to make a difference in the world at both a local and global level. Students will also be exposed to organizations involved in social justice and awareness of people who have overcome incredible odds to build a better world.
The program consists of two parts. The first being that each student attends ten mandatory sessions held mainly after school on specific dates. The second part is the trip to the Museum of Tolerance in LA and other various places.
The WeStand participants are MOST grateful to Lawrence and Judith Tanenbaum and The Asper Foundation for their generous support in our 2011 program
