Human Rights Program Trip

McLuhan students made an amazingly positive impression in Washington DC in April when they lead all the opening activities for the 130 students from across Canada.  Teachers from the other communities remarked that they had high regard for the school after they saw the leadership demonstrated by our students.

To add to this, Evelyn Pocock and Lucas Bertoia were quoted in the media for their comments after visiting the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.  To read the article, please open the following link: http://www.windsorstar.com/Canadian+students+learn+from+survivor+born+during+Holocaust/9785095/story.html

On behalf of the students and staff in the iChoose Human Rights program, McLuhan thanks the Board for supporting the program and the trip to the Asper Foundation Human Rights and Holocaust Studies Program in Washington.
