Frisbee Championships

McLuhan at National Ultimate -team photo

Marshall McLuhan participated in the Canadian High Schools Ultimate Championships in May 2016, where the top 16 teams from around the Country compete.  McLuhan was seeded 9th and was 1 of three Toronto teams, behind 1st ranked overall Northern.  Their first game in the round robin was Northern and  McLuhan came out strong and lead the whole game to finish with the biggest upset of the tournament and a 9-7 win, knocking the number 1 seed down to the bottom 9-16 seed.  After a tight loss to the bronze medal winners Manitoba SJR, McLuhan beat the Sherbrooke Quebec Barons to make it to the top 8.

As the wind, rain and hail picked up on the Sunday, the rebels struggled a bit losing to the National Champions Innsdale, who knocked them out of the top 4.  McLuhan finished strong, with a final seeding of 8th in the country and will look to be back next year to continue the streak.
