June 22, 2020 - June 26, 2020
Happy Father’s Day (belated if you are reading this after Sunday!) to those in our community. May God continue to bless all fathers and support them in raising their children with love, faith, and gratitude.
Last week, the Archdiocese of Toronto supported the re-opening of many Churches for private prayer and public worship. Officially, June 21 saw the first Sunday Eucharistic Celebrations in GTA Catholic Churches who could meet the health & safety regulations. Churches were open for the feast of Corpus Christi (June 14), the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus (June 19) and the Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary (June 20). And though not everyone is able to return to their place of worship, this phase of re-opening gives us hope that we will be able to physically gather again soon. God is good!
At this time, we hope that students have wrapped up (or nearly wrapped up) their schoolwork with summer on their minds. Although the school year is not officially over, we would like to congratulate those who are finished, and ask that everyone, at some point, take time to reflect on the 2019-20 school year. It was truly a year for the record books!
We bid farewell to all those leaving our community and pray that they will stay healthy, happy, and forever connected to their Mary Ward family.
God Bless you all and stay safe this summer and until we meet again ☺
We also take this opportunity to say goodbye as Chaplains, and welcome Mr.Dabbagh and Ms.Vecchiarelli who will take on the co-Chaplaincy roles for 2020-21. We are in good hands ♥
