Grade 11 Design Students Garments at The Textile Museum of Canada

Since this past July, Garments created by Mary Ward's Grade 11 Design Students, have been on exhibit at The Textile Museum of Canada.  Their exhibit, "Fashion Narratives", was inspired by the Museum's exhibition entitled, "From Geisha to Diva: The Kimonos of Ichimaru".  Each student's garment tells a story about a culture, place, personal journey, global issue, legend and an era.  Students started with white cloth, which they dyed, printed, patterned, cut, sewed and embellished.
