Welcome to Week 30 (Apr 16-20)

We hope everyone had a good weekend filled with family, friends and some real relaxation.

Reminders for the week:

  • This is the Believe in Angels Week (TCDSB). We have participated by holding a civvies day earlier in the year.
  • Please note that the last day for excursions is Friday, May 11.  This leaves only four weeks for school trips.
  •  Only 8 weeks to go until the last day to submit units and write tests!
  • Wednesday is our Second Parent Teacher Interview Night which will run from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the Gym.
  • Teaches, please be sure to invite your advisee’s parents/guardians to the Parent Teacher Interview Night if you have academic concerns.
  • This week is our School Play!  Len and Company have been working very hard on this year’s production, “9 to 5” and we are looking forward to the show.  A reminder that we will have elementary students in the building for a variety of days to showcase our performances.  The Play Preview will be on Monday during Period 5.  Please listen for an announcement.

Please check our Google Mary Ward Sports Calendar by clicking on “School Calendar” on the left side panel, then “Calendar of Events”, and “Mary Ward Sports”. Come on out and support our teams!  Because the list can get very long, we’ll try publicizing just the HOME games.

  • Varsity Girls' Soccer Tournament

  • Thanks to all teachers for their hard work in getting the marks organized, entered, and verified! A special thanks to the office staff, who helped with making corrections (some of which appeared to be issue with the Webmarks and Trillum applications – Help Desk has been contacted for following up so similar kinds of issues do not occur in the future), continue to endure many paper cuts from the preparation and packaging of Report Cards!
  • Congratulations and thanks to the Literacy Team on another OSSLT in the books! Thanks to each and every one of you for your help in administering the assessment. The auditor from EQAO was very impressed with how smoothly the day went given the number of students who write at Ward. This would not have been possible without the role each of you play.
