We are almost there!  We have a fun filled week ahead of us full of TA activities, Christmas celebrations and of course, the annual Christmas Assembly!!

Reminders for the week:

• A reminder that students should pick up their extra units (The Unit they are currently working on plus 1 more) for the holidays well before Friday.  As per past practice, we will permit students to hand in 2 units per course from Monday January 8th, 2018 to Friday January 12th, 2018.  After that time, we are back to the 1 unit per course per week policy.
• Cafeteria Service will end on Wednesday. Please ensure your TAs are aware and plan accordingly.
• If you are leaving the school for your TA Christmas activity, please ensure Angela is aware of any students who are NOT attending, and advise her of any no-shows.  In saying this, we ask that you please provide the Excursion list for your TA outings to Angela by no later the Wednesday @ 12:00 p.m.

Monday, December 18 – Day 8 – Unit 7 Suggested Target Date

• Life After MW – Visual Arts/Comm Tech Alumni Event (all morning) – Alumni sharing experiences/work via keynote, breakout sessions, and portfolio walk-about. Staff and senior Visual Arts/Comm Tech students are welcome.
• Department Heads' meeting @ 2 p.m. in the Library
• New TA Careers/Civics Committee meeting at lunch in library. All are welcome.

Tuesday, December 19 – Day 9

• Sr. Phys-ed Unit, N.B. Indoor Beach VB, 11-2:15pm, Peets/Kennedy unavailable.

Wednesday, December 20 – Day 10

• Congratulations to Nicole Powell and the incredible Mary Ward Planet Team for all of their hard work in putting together our school newspaper.  The MW Planet will be distributed in TA sometime during the week of Dec 18 for you to bring home for the holidays!
• The Christmas Season officially arrived at Mary Ward last Wednesday and Thursday night when our community experienced the inspiring musical talents of our Music Department! A special thanks to Michael C., Sheri, J.P., Kirk, and John Volpe; to our volunteers - Eileen, Len, Maureen, Marg, thanks for your support behind the scenes and with supervision.
