Welcome to Week 35 (May 21-25)


Happy Victoria Day!  Hopefully, you were able to enjoy the weekend and the extra day off to relax and rejuvenate and spend some time with family and friends.


Meanwhile, congratulations to Sue Sahlani! Please welcome our Mary Ward EA who has been awarded the Visual Arts, Com-Tech IA position. She will begin her duties on Tuesday May 22nd.


Reminders for the week: 

  • ·       Please remind students that three weeks remain to submit units and write tests.  Also, please do NOT accept any units beyond this date (i.e. on Scheduled Days or Tutorial Days).
  • ·       The calendar committee has been meeting regularly. Please stay tuned for a tentative calendar and send any dates for activities and events for next year to Kathleen.
  • ·       Early exams conclude on Wed, May 23. No more final exams until Final Exam period in June.

  • Thanks to Ms. Lena and Ms. Zidar for their support in creating two International Students representative positions on SAC for 2018-2019! Two students have gone through election speeches in both English and Mandarin and were voted in by their peers!
  • Thanks to OASIS Selection Committee for very difficult work in selecting next year’s future leaders.  Thanks also to our Teacher Advisors for taking the time to submit advisees’ names!


TA Tip(s) of the week


The closing mass will take place on Friday, May 25th.  SAC has fun activities planned! Please remind advisees that they are expected to stay at school until the end of the day.
