  • We would like to thank Nadia and SAC for organizing all of the cake materials and arranging for a wonderful cake design competition! Thanks also to Chaplaincy team for the morning reflections, and to all TA’s for the efforts in helping to celebrate Mary Ward’s Birthday.  Once again we appreciate the hard work that went into all of the cake designs. Congratulations to Sersanti’s TA group for baking the winning cake! Kudos to Largo’s TA group for managing to create an edible image of Mary Ward’s face on the cake! It is truly a special way to honor Mary Ward and it is wonderful to see the enthusiasm and bonding that is fostered by this event.  Well done!
  • Thanks to Gassi, Weathers, van Rooyen of the Visitors committee for receiving three visitors from St. Thomas Christian School! The visitors were very impressed by everything they saw and everyone they came across. Our enthusiasm and belief in the SDL model inspired them tremendously!
  • Despite having to share the day with WAD collection and making accommodations to adjust to an Extended TA-A schedule, congratulations to the members of the Religion department who successfully completed the Grade 9 Exams as well as the Grade 10 kick off. The same goes to the members of the Physical Education Department for the final assessment and then the kick off in the Gym! We appreciate your efforts!
  • A big thank you to the WAD committee for all of their hard work in distributing and collecting registrationforms and for organizing the Winter Activity Day.  A special thank you also to all of the teacher and staff supervisors for your hard work in planning and running the events; the Mary Ward community is very grateful.

TA Tip(s) of the week

Please include the following (or your own version) of TA communication via TA interview form: “Save the Final Fifty presentation date: For parents/guardians on Tuesday February 19th 7pm in Mary Ward Cafeteria. This is an amazing opportunity to learn about how parents/guardians can support their child as students work to complete their units for this school year.”

Have a great week, everyone!
