Toronto Catholic District School Board

Welcome to Week 27 (Mar 25-29)

Reminders for the week:

  • Super TA continues (Mar18 - Apr12).
  • Please remind students that there are only 11 weeks remaining to submit units.  We ask that you remind your advisees and subject students of this key information and the fact that all teachers will be following the one unit per week policy.  If any of your graduating students are in jeopardy of not attaining 30 credits, you are asked to bring this to the attention of your SBST administrator as well as their parents a.s.a.p.
  • We are entering into the spring reporting cycle. Thanks in advance for your efforts in this process.
  • TA message on Monday March 25 - It is important to pass the note in your mailbox to the corresponding Grade 9 students in your TA group at the morning check-in. They will be asked to come for an Assembly at 11:30am Monday.
  • Pope Francis reminds us that “As stewards of God’s creation, we are called to make the earth a beautiful garden for the human family. When we destroy our forests, ravage our soil and pollute our seas, we betray that noble calling.” TCDSB is celebrating GLOBAL EARTH HOUR on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am and is encouraging all schools to participate. Schools are asked to turn off lights where it is safe to do so, and where it will not adversely disrupt normal classroom teaching. Please stay tuned on how we will participate that day.
  • Club moderators please book a time for their club to come down and get their yearbook photo done. Please see Powell’s email for the link to make appointment.
  • Nicole Powell is ready to receive articles for the next issue of our “Happenings” newspaper! Deadline is April 1st and it is not a joke!
  • VP Burns last day with us is March 29, Friday.
