CTV Interviews MPJ Student Kaitlyn Cooke About Upcoming Lacrosse Fundraiser

Lance Brown, sports reporter and anchor for CTV News visited Monsignor Percy Johnson CSS this afternoon to interview a student named Kaitlyn Cooke on her upcoming fundraising initiative.

Kaitlyn has organized a fundraiser for the school, to be held next Friday, January 27th in Oshawa, in an effort to purchase lacrosse sporting equipment, including sticks, nets, etc., and in the hopes of creating the first co-ed field lacrosse team at Msgr. Percy Johnson CSS.  Kaitlyn is an avid Lacrosse player and has played for the Mimico Mountaineers women’s field lacrosse team for the past 4 years. She hopes to achieve a full scholarship in lacrosse one day to an NCAA University or college.

The feature is scheduled to air on CTV News early next week.  Our thanks to Principal Joanne Melo and staff for their assistance with organizing today's interview.

A special thanks to Kaitlyn Cooke for her efforts to raise funds for a sport that provides enriching experiences for our students and promotes leadership, cooperative teamwork and respect.
