Toronto Catholic District School Board

Timetable Changes

Counsellors will see students during the first two weeks of each semester, upon request, to change timetables which are inappropriate due to failure of pre-requisite courses or the attainment of identical courses through summer school or night school credits. Students will not be allowed to change schedules for any other reason.

NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE AFTER THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF A SEMESTER.

Dropping Courses

Students in grades 9, 10 and 11 must take a full course load and are not permitted to drop courses. Students studying at the grade twelve level are allowed to drop a course if sufficient reason is given and provided they still have three credit courses on their timetable per semester. Students must see a guidance counsellor to officially drop a course. If the student is under 18 years of age, a parent’s signature is required. A course deletion must have the approval of the subject teacher and the vice-principal. Students may not drop a course less than a month before exams.
