Toronto Catholic District School Board

Vaccination Notice 2019

Dear parent(s)/guardian(s),

You may have received a notice that your daughter's vaccine records are not up-to-date in Toronto Public Health’s system. If you do not update your records, your daughter can be suspended from school beginning  February 27, 2019 . The suspension is to protect your daughter and her classmates from serious diseases.

Toronto Public Health may have sent a letter to your home. Please check these letters for the list of vaccines that are missing from their system, or visit to see the list of vaccines missing from Toronto Public Health’s system.

Frequently Asked Questions

I already had the vaccines. Why am I getting this email?

It’s possible that you’ve already had the required vaccines but just haven’t reported them to Toronto Public Health yet. Check your paper vaccine records (Yellow Card) to see whether you’ve already received the vaccines missing from Toronto Public Health’s system. If that’s the case, the most convenient way for students to report their vaccines to Toronto Public Health is, available 24/7.

Where can I get vaccines?

Free vaccines required for school are available at doctor's offices, community health centres or walk-in clinics. The exception is the vaccine for meningococcal C-ACYW135 which is available from Toronto Public Health Clinics (see below).

I need the meningococcal C-ACYW135 vaccine – where can I get it?

Many family doctors and walk-in clinics don’t have the meningococcal C-ACYW135 vaccine for free. Most students therefore find it easiest to get this vaccine at a free Toronto Public Health Clinic. Appointments are required and can be made at For your reference I am attaching a schedule of all clinic dates and locations.

What do I do if I don’t have an OHIP health card?

Students who don’t have OHIP can get the required vaccines at a free Toronto Public Health Clinic. Appointments are required and can be made at

What if I have more questions?

Call Toronto Public Health’s Vaccine Information Centre (416) 392-1250 – open weekdays 8:30am-4:30pm.
