Toronto Catholic District School Board

On Nov. 11, 2014, the Our Lady of Wisdom School Community gathered to pray and offer thanks to all of the brave members of the Canadian Armed Forces who have served this wonderful country Canada and who continue to serve for freedom and peace. The students and teachers prepared wreaths and poppies to place at the tall white cross, which stands as a reminder of the crosses row on row in the many cemeteries across Europe. It was a heartfelt tribute to the men and women who serve our country with their lives in various campaigns and missions in the name of freedom and peace. The students were grateful to have special guests Corporal Leung and Corporal Rizzo spend the morning with them. They were reminded of what the poppy symbolizes and what Remembrance Day means. The Remembrance Day service was a significant and memorable day.
