Grade 6 Coding Quest

Grade 6 students are once again participating in Coding Quest, a joint initiative between the Learning Partnership of Canada and the TCDSB. This is the third year that students from Precious Blood have participated in the program.
The aim of Coding Quest is for students to design and showcase a video game that reflects an aspect of the elementary curriculum. The Grade 6 students have selected the Science strand of Biodiversity of Living Things and have made an inquiry into one of the following two topics: Habitats or Endangered Species of Canada. The video game is designed using the coding program of Scratch.
To ensure that students make good progress within the development phase of their video games, a local representative of the Learning Partnership is invited to visit the class to assist the students. Mr. Michael Bar, a retired teacher, visited the class on Wednesday, January 8th, 2019 to assist and encourage the students with their work. He will return for a visit to the Grade 5/6 class by the end of January.
