Toronto Catholic District School Board

Students Build Structures, Castles and Drawbridges
Combine science, math, geometry
Construction of a life-size bridge and castles are just some of the innovative projects created by students at Precious Blood Catholic School that demonstrate their comprehension and implementation of the math, science and geometry curriculum areas.
The students escort their parents through a “Learning Walk” who l see how their children’s learning of the concepts develops…they literally see the entire curriculum as it evolves from grade to grade along with the learning goals and feedback.
Parents are provided with brochures that not only describe the school’s curriculum areas of focus, but provide them with specific home tips from their child’s teachers.
This is parent and school community engagement at its best! We are transforming our school though innovation!
