Scientist in the School Program

All classes throughout the year were able to avail of the opportunity of having a Scientist visit the classrooms to provide the students with several hands-on activities related to one of the strands of science from the curriculum.

On Wednesday, May 20 the Grade six students had the privilege of learning about the concepts of Air and Flight under the instruction of Ms. Anne Pervis. Students learned about the viscosity of water and air, and participated in several experiments that related to how a plane flies. At the end of the half day workshop, students reflected on what they had learned by writing about what they had seen, thought and wondered.
